Huduma Centres Now Open 7AM to 7PM: Full List of 20 Locations and All the Services You Can Access | BossNana International Radio

Kenyans can now access government services for longer each day, with Huduma Kenya officially extending operating hours at 20 selected centers across the country from 7 am to 7 pm.

The agency announced the new schedule on Thursday, May 14, 2026, rolling out the extended hours at a time when demand at Huduma Centres is running particularly high. Many Kenyans are currently racing to meet tax filing deadlines, collect national identification cards and driving licenses, and access a range of other essential government services.

Which Huduma Centres Are Now Open Until 7 PM?

The extended 12-hour schedule applies to the following 20 locations:

GPO Nairobi, City Square, Eastleigh, Kisumu, Kakamega, Mombasa, Embu, Kisii, Meru, Migori, Nakuru, Nyeri, Uasin Gishu, Bungoma, Kitale, Kiambu, Kericho, Makadara, and two additional centres in the expanded rollout.

What Services Can You Access?

The extended hours cover a broad and practical range of government services. Citizens visiting any of the 20 selected centers between 7 am and 7 pm can access:

  • KRA tax filing and compliance assistance
  • National ID application and collection
  • Smart driving licence processing and collection
  • Passport services support
  • Social Health Authority (SHA) and related health services
  • Birth certificate applications
  • Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) and student-related services
  • Business registration and eCitizen support services

For many working Kenyans, visiting a Huduma Centre during standard office hours means taking time off work, a real cost that often forces people to delay or avoid accessing services they need. By stretching the operating day to 12 hours, Huduma Kenya opens a genuine window for early risers and those who can only visit after their own working hours end.

The agency framed the move explicitly around reducing overcrowding and delivering faster, more efficient service to citizens who previously found the standard schedule difficult to work around. If the extended hours succeed in spreading foot traffic more evenly across the day, Kenyans should notice shorter queues and quicker turnaround times at the affected centers.

For now, the initiative covers 20 locations, but the structure of the rollout, which expanded from an initial set of eight centers to a broader list, suggests Huduma Kenya may extend the program further if the results justify it.
