A man from Suswa, Narok County, poisoned his two little daughters and hanged himself.
Police report that the suspect, Nahashon Mbogo, gave rat poison to his six and four-year-old girls on October 21, 2025. He then hanged himself inside his home. Police have not yet determined what led to the tragedy.
Detectives believe that after the children had died from the poison, he placed them on their bed and then hanged himself. He reportedly used a rope to hang himself from the roof of the house.
When police arrived, they found the two girls lying on the bed, while their father’s body was hanging from the ceiling with a rope around his neck.
It’s unclear where the children’s mother was when this happened, with police treating the case as a murder-suicide investigation.
Neighbors discovered what had occurred and immediately called the police. The bodies were taken to the mortuary, awaiting autopsy and further procedures.
