National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) has issued a critical notice to all shortlisted candidates ahead of its Validation Exercise scheduled for Friday, October 24, 2025.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, October 21, NYOTA announced that all shortlisted youth must complete the Entrepreneurship Aptitude Test (EAT), a significant test meant to gauge their entrepreneurial ability and readiness for the subsequent phase of the program.
“The next step before the Validation Exercise on 24 October 2025, selected youth should undertake the Entrepreneurship Aptitude Test, which is a key step in assessing entrepreneurial skills. Send the word NYOTA to 40270 and follow the prompts to complete the EAT,” the organization announced.
How to Register and Take the NYOTA Entrepreneurship Test
NYOTA candidates must follow these simple steps to complete their registration:
Step 1: Activate promotional messages by dialing *100*5*2*5*1#
Step 2: Send the word ‘NYOTA’ to 40270
Step 3: Follow the SMS prompts to select your preferred language
Step 4: Respond to all questions sent via text message
Important Requirements for NYOTA Test Takers
NYOTA has emphasized several key requirements candidates must follow:
- Use your registered mobile number: Candidates must use the same phone number they provided during their initial application to ensure smooth verification and successful test completion
- Test is completely free: The organization confirmed that the Entrepreneurship Aptitude Test costs nothing and works on both smartphones and basic feature phones (kabambe)
- One attempt only: Each participant can take the test only once, and answers cannot be changed once submitted
- Test duration: The complete assessment takes between 15 to 30 minutes, depending on your response speed and network connection
What Happens If Your Phone Disconnects During the NYOTA Test?
NYOTA has provided reassurance for candidates worried about technical issues. If your phone rings or loses network connection while you’re taking the test, you can resume from where you stopped once you reconnect as long as you’re using the same SIM card.
