Digital Communication Strategist Pauline Njoroge has resigned from the Jubilee Party after 14 years, bringing her time as the party’s deputy organizing secretary and a member of its National Executive Committee (NEC) to an end.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Njoroge said the resignation took effect immediately and framed the move as the start of a new chapter in her political career.
She traced her political path to 2012, when she joined the National Alliance (TNA) as communications manager. TNA later merged with President William Ruto’s United Republican Party (URP) to form the Jubilee Party.
Njoroge said her 14-year stint in the party transformed her perspective and allowed her to contribute during what she described as one of Kenya’s most defining political periods.
“I therefore wish to announce my resignation from the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Jubilee Party, where I have served as Deputy Organizing Secretary, and as a member of the Jubilee Party, effective today,” she said.
“These fourteen years have been nothing short of transformational. They have shaped my thinking, sharpened my craft, and given me the privilege of serving during one of the most defining political periods in our country’s history,” she added.
She thanked former President Uhuru Kenyatta for mentoring her on governance and leadership, saying the skills she developed will help her pursue her next political goals.
Pauline said he not only offered her opportunities within Kenya but also exposed her to leadership and governance experiences across Africa and internationally. She added that this widened her perspective and deepened her understanding of public service.
Njoroge said her time in politics and strategic communications over the past 14 years has transformed her outlook. Although she has left the party, she said she will continue to value the former president’s guidance.
She also revealed that she has been involved in the Linda Mwananchi movement since February and said she now intends to devote herself fully to the initiative.
According to Njoroge, the movement aligns with her views on good governance, the rule of law, constitutionalism, accountability, and servant leadership. She said her decision also reflects the push for national renewal based on integrity, constitutionalism, and people-centred leadership.
“It is for this reason that I have made the difficult but deeply considered decision to dedicate myself fully to this cause,” she said.
She described Linda Mwananchi as more than a political movement, adding that it seeks to amplify the voices of ordinary Kenyans, defend constitutionalism and human rights, and promote leadership grounded in service, accountability, and respect for the dignity of every citizen.
