Safina Party leader Jimi Wanjigi has taken direct aim at President William Ruto, declaring that the Head of State’s political influence is crumbling fast and warning his supporters that backing the current administration would be a costly miscalculation.
Speaking at a political rally on Tuesday, Wanjigi claimed a personal familiarity with the president that, in his view, gives him a clearer read of the situation than most.
“Mimi ndio nawinda Ruto saa hii, and I know him better than any of you. Saa hii ameisha, kama mnataka kumfuata mtaisha na yeye. That man is finished; ata anajua. Referendum yake iliisha zamani sana; the man is done!” he said.
Wanjigi continued his critique by pointing to what he described as deep-seated failures in healthcare and education as proof that the administration has run its course. He argued that ordinary Kenyans are now carrying the weight of a government that has, in his words, depleted the country’s resources while leaving citizens with little to show for it.
“Anyone who aligns with Ruto will be finished. As you can see, he is finished; there is nothing left for him in this country. He has taken from Kenyans, from healthcare to education, and people are feeling it. This is the end of his reign. Kenya is ready for change,” he stated.
The Safina leader urged Kenyans to break from the current political direction, framing loyalty to the president as a path to political ruin. He positioned his party as the only credible alternative for those looking ahead.
“So kama mnataka, akeni na yeye, mtaisha na yeye, but if you want a good future, muokolewe kabisa, ingieni Safina,” he implored.
