NTSA Gives Kenyans 10 Days to Learn the New e-Logbook System | BossNana International Radio

The National Transport and Safety Authority has launched a nationwide 10-day virtual training program to prepare Kenyans for one of the most significant changes to vehicle ownership documentation in the country’s history. Starting Wednesday, June 10, 2026, digital e-logbooks will officially replace traditional paper-based motor vehicle logbooks, and the NTSA wants every stakeholder ready before that date arrives.

The authority announced the sensitization program in a notice released on Tuesday, May 12, outlining a structured schedule of online sessions designed to walk different groups through the new digital platform before the manual system is permanently retired.

Who Gets Trained and When

The NTSA has organized the program by sector, ensuring that each group receives targeted guidance relevant to their specific role in the transport ecosystem. The schedule kicks off on May 25 with sessions for vehicle assemblers, bodybuilders, motor vehicle dealers, and motorcycle dealers, the professionals who will interact with eLogbooks most frequently from day one.

Financial institutions join the program on May 26, followed by the diplomatic community on May 27. Subsequent sessions bring in a broad mix of transport sector players, including network companies, SACCOs, driving schools, and various transport operators. Representatives from government ministries, county governments, and state agencies also feature in the training lineup.

Legal practitioners, investigative agencies, and insurance firms round out the professional training cohort, groups whose day-to-day work involves verifying and processing vehicle ownership records.

The General Public Gets Its Turn From June 2

The final phase of the sensitization program runs from June 2 to June 4 and targets ordinary vehicle owners and members of the public. The NTSA will hold two virtual sessions daily during this period: one at 9:00 a.m. and another at 11:00 a.m., giving Kenyans across different time zones and schedules a practical window to tune in and learn what the transition means for them.

Anyone who wants to participate in the training sessions must register through the official NTSA website before the May 20 deadline. The authority has made online registration the sole entry point for all sessions, so early sign-up is essential to securing a spot.
