CCTV Reveals Final Moments Before Woman’s Fatal Fall from Kileleshwa Apartment | BossNana International Radio

Nairobi detectives have launched a probe into the tragic death of a 22-year-old woman who plunged from the sixth floor of a Kileleshwa short-stay rental.

Investigators identified the deceased as Consolata Githinji and confirmed the fall occurred at apartment C601. Officers currently hold a 33-year-old man, believed to have accompanied her that night, as they work to piece together the events leading to the fatal drop.

Security footage obtained by mainstream media outlets chronicles Githinji’s final movements within the apartment complex. The video captures a night guard stationed near the lift lobby around 4:11am. Minutes later, at 4:17am, Githinji arrived with a man later identified as Tonny Odhiambo. In the recording, she appears to reach out toward the guard just before he walks away from the pair.

The timeline grows increasingly tense as the morning progresses. At 4:18am, the guard helped the duo unlock a key box, and they entered apartment C601. By 4:32am, the camera caught shadows moving near the doorway, hinting at a potential commotion inside. The footage shows the guard entering the unit at 4:34am and exiting nearly ten minutes later. He lingered in the hallway briefly before returning at 4:46am, marking the final moment anyone saw Githinji alive.

A thick cloud of mystery still hangs over the moments following that final sighting and how exactly Githinji ended up on the ground floor. Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations reached the scene at approximately 6:09am, immediately photographing the area and launching their formal inquiry.

In an interview with Citizen TV, the suspect offered his version of events, claiming the woman stood by a bedroom window and fell before he could intervene. He further alleged that she had expressed suicidal thoughts earlier. However, it was discovered that the suspect did not book the apartment himself; instead, the reservation sat under a friend’s name.

Compounding the mystery, records show that three other individuals, two women and a man, checked into that same room between 5:56pm and 3:57am. Police now face the task of identifying these people and determining if they played any part in the morning’s tragic outcome.

The incident has sparked an outcry from residents and estate security officials, who are demanding stricter regulations for short-stay rentals. They pointed out that the estate has already dealt with several troubling incidents linked to these types of accommodations.

As the police continue their work, the victim’s family is desperately seeking answers, hoping to learn whether their daughter took her own life or if a darker truth lies behind her death.
