Prophet David Owuor has warned that Kenya’s 2027 General Election could trigger severe instability unless the nation undertakes a process of national repentance.
Speaking in an interview with journalist Samira Mohammed on TV47, and shared on the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness YouTube channel, Owuor said he had received a prophecy foretelling a period of intense political turmoil. He described visions of “unbelievable contestation” and a political environment that could spiral “out of control.”
Owuor said the coming election could be the most difficult period Kenya has faced since independence. He cautioned that the situation could become nearly impossible to manage if corrective action is not taken, pointing to the rise of powerful, uncontrolled forces and the mobilization of younger generations.
While he did not reveal the full details of his visions, Owuor stressed the urgency of his warning and urged Kenyans to prepare for potential instability. He also noted that the future was not set in stone.
“Divine mercy is still possible,” he said, calling on citizens to embrace repentance. He urged the government to organize a national day of repentance in 2026, a step he said could avert the crisis he foresaw. Without such action, he warned, the country could face widespread disorder.
The warning comes amid past controversies. In 2025, claims circulated that Owuor had predicted the end of the world on August 2, which he later dismissed as false. He has also gained attention recently following a rally in Nakuru, where he said attendees experienced healing from chronic illnesses, including HIV and AIDS.
Owuor’s latest prophecy has reignited public discussion on the nation’s political stability and the role of spiritual guidance in navigating tense electoral periods.
