Prophet Owuor Hits Back at CS Aden Duale Over Knee Surgery Claims | BossNana International Radio

Controversial prophet David Owuor has fired back at Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale after the CS claimed Owuor was abroad for knee surgery, despite reportedly performing healing miracles.

In a strongly-worded statement on his social media platforms on Thursday, January 29, Owuor dismissed Duale’s comments as “false, unverified, and misleading.”

“The ministry of repentance and holiness strongly refutes recent public remarks attributed to CS Aden Duale regarding Prophet Dr. David Owuor. The statements suggesting that the prophet of the Lord underwent medical procedures as alleged are false, unverified and misleading,” Owuor stated.

Owuor clarified that during the period referenced by Duale in a TV interview, he was on an official international mission in Europe, conducting revival meetings and ministry activities focused on repentance, holiness, and preparation for the coming of the Messiah. He has since returned to Kenya.

“At the time being referenced, Prophet Owuor was on an official international mission in Europe, holding revival meetings and faithfully carrying out ministry work centered on the message of repentance, holiness, and preparations for the coming of the Messiah,” the statement read.

The prophet also expressed concern about the spread of inaccurate claims presented as fact and urged the public, leaders, commentators, and media outlets to exercise responsibility and accuracy when discussing faith and spiritual leadership. He called for fairness, factual reporting, and respect for his ministry.

“Our ministry gatherings are centered on prayer, repentance, and faith in Jesus Christ. Attendees often share personal testimonies of spiritual restoration and healings through the Blood of Jesus Christ. These are matters of faith and religious belief and should be treated with the respect afforded to all faith-based expressions,” the statement added.

The statement follows Duale’s remarks on Wednesday night during an interview on Citizen TV, where he questioned why Owuor claimed to heal the sick while allegedly seeking medical treatment abroad. Duale also warned against miracle claims, citing the Shakahola incident of 2022 as a cautionary example.

The controversy started in December 2025, when Owuor claimed to have healed patients with conditions including HIV and AIDS. He presented doctors who, he said, tested the patients and returned negative results.

Following the claims, the government launched investigations, with CS Duale calling for potential revocation of the doctors’ licenses for their participation in the miracle healing events.

“If he [Owuor] can go for knee replacement, I do not know why he should ask his followers to go for spiritual nourishment. This is what happened with Shakahola. We must be very careful,” Duale said.

Duale added that medical professionals involved in such claims must scientifically substantiate them, warning that failure to do so could lead to disciplinary action, including suspension or revocation of licenses for professional misconduct and violations of medical ethics.
