Ndindi Nyoro Says He Can Defeat Ruto “Hands Down” in 2027 | BossNana International Radio

People’s Party of Kenya (PPK) leader and Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro has announced that he is fully prepared to run for president in the 2027 General Election, asserting that few leaders are as equipped to take charge of the country.

Speaking on Citizen TV’s JKLive show on Wednesday night, Nyoro stated that he stands ready to assume the presidency if given the opportunity to lead the opposition against President William Ruto.

While stopping short of a formal candidacy announcement, Nyoro gave an unambiguous assessment of his readiness when host Jeff Koinange pressed him on his presidential ambitions.

“I don’t believe there is a person more prepared in Kenya to lead this country than Ndindi Nyoro,” he said.

Nyoro explained that his preparation stems from rigorous analysis of national challenges and formulating concrete policy solutions before taking power. Pointing to education reform as a core priority, he pledged to roll out fully free day secondary education within three months of taking office.

If I got there tomorrow, in three months’ time, we would offer free basic education to Kenyans in all day secondary schools. In terms of being prepared, I am prepared to be anything, including the president of Kenya,” Nyoro said.

Calling for Opposition Unity Ahead of 2027

Despite expressing confidence in his vision, Nyoro acknowledged the steep task facing the opposition as it attempts to mount a cohesive presidential campaign against President Ruto. He cautioned against individual political ego, noting that Kenya suffers from “an abundance of aspirants” but lacks leaders actively preparing for governance.

“I decided I need to capacity-build myself and look at the areas that we need to tackle as a country so that if that chance was to come, I would not waste a day,” he explained.

Nyoro insisted that unseating the incumbent administration requires a broad-based coalition rather than fragmented, isolated bids.

“The challenge ahead needs a united front; the challenges of our country is not a singular solution. We need to hold hands all of us to tackle the problem,” he stated.

When asked whether he has what it takes to defeat President Ruto at the ballot box, Nyoro offered a two-word answer: “Hands down!”
