Gachagua Promises Aspirant a Brand New Motorcycle at Meru Rally | BossNana International Radio

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua pledged to buy a brand new motorcycle for Igembe Central parliamentary aspirant Misheck Mutethia Kavesti during a campaign stop in Meru County. The offer came after Kavesti requested transport assistance to run his campaigns across the constituency more effectively.

Addressing the crowd, Kavesti explained that he has been running a door-to-door campaign strictly on foot without a personal vehicle or motorcycle. He appealed to Gachagua as his political mentor, asking for a motorcycle to help him connect with voters who support his bid.

“I want to tell you that I conduct door-to-door campaigns on foot. I neither have a motorcycle nor a car, but the people love me.

“Your Excellency, out of the great respect I have for you, and because you are my mentor, before you leave here, even if it is a motorcycle, I will appreciate it,” the aspirant said.

Gachagua then turned to the rally attendees, asking if he should fulfill the young aspirant’s request. After the crowd voiced their approval, Gachagua promised to buy the motorbike, while another politician present pledged to cover the fuel costs and handed Kavesti Ksh 20,000 in cash.

“Alright. Should this young man be assisted or not? Shouldn’t he be given what he has asked for? I will buy you a brand new motorcycle to use for your campaigns,” he announced.

The exchange took place as Gachagua toured Meru County to build support for his Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP). Beyond addressing local concerns like rampant cattle rustling, he pushed his presidential ambition and urged voters to deny President William Ruto a second term in office.
