Huduma Kenya has introduced new media services at its centers across the country to improve the accessibility of government resources. In a notice released on Monday, May 11, the agency detailed a partnership with the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) to offer advertising and announcement services directly through Huduma outlets.
This rollout enables citizens to manage various media needs, such as placing funeral announcements, purchasing advertising slots, and submitting promotional or community messages, without the need to travel to KBC offices.
“Kenyans can now access KBC services at select Huduma Centres, making it easier to place funeral announcements and buy media space for adverts, promos, and community messages without travelling far,” the agency stated.
Huduma Kenya officials noted that the launch of these services at the Makadara Huduma Centre in Nairobi signals a fresh stage in expanding their one-stop-shop model, which centralizes vital government functions. This initiative drives a broader effort to decentralize public and state-linked commercial resources, ensuring citizens across the country can access them more easily.
Under this new partnership, visitors to Huduma Centres can now perform the following tasks at specific service points:
-
Book airtime for various announcements.
-
Process formal advertising requests.
-
Access a range of other KBC-related services.
While the agency plans to eventually offer these features at every location nationwide, it revealed that the services are currently limited to select Huduma centers during this initial phase.
