Kalonzo Musyoka Drops Joho, Junet and Sabina Chege in Major Azimio Shake-Up | BossNana International Radio

The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition overhauled its leadership ranks on Monday, explaining that several members lost their positions after joining rival political groups or accepting government appointments.

In a formal statement, coalition leader Kalonzo Musyoka noted that a joint session of the Coalition Council and the National Coalition Executive Council reached this decision. The groups resolved that the individuals in question no longer hold their seats within Azimio’s top governing bodies.

The coalition confirmed that Mining Cabinet Secretary Ali Hassan Joho, Nominated MP Sabina Chege, Abdi Noor Omar Farah, and Junet Mohamed have left the Coalition Council.

Meanwhile, the list of those exiting the National Coalition Executive Council includes Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya, Adan Keynan Wehliye, David Pkosing, Mishi Mboko, Abdul Haji, Junet Mohamed, James Opiyo Wandayi, Isabella Wangechi Githinji, Caroline Wanjiru Karugu, and Solomon Kuria.

Azimio promised to announce replacements soon as it works on expanding the coalition party.

The meeting also resulted in the immediate removal of Junet Mohamed as the leader of the Azimio Coalition Parliamentary Group in the National Assembly. In his place, the coalition appointed Suba South MP Caroli Omondi.
