Osoro: MPs Siphoning Funds from SHA Will Soon Face Arrest | BossNana International Radio

South Mugirango MP and National Assembly Chief Whip Sylvanus Osoro has accused a section of legislators of diverting money from the Social Health Authority (SHA) through their privately-owned healthcare facilities.

Speaking during an event in Narok, Osoro alleged that some MPs have been using the scheme to enrich themselves while funding political activities.

“There are MPs up to now who are pocketing funds from SHA meant for hospitals, and there are those with hospitals saying that every now and then operations are being done, and they take the money and hold press conferences,” Osoro said.

The Chief Whip also took aim at former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and his allies in parliament, questioning their moral authority to speak about corruption. Osoro accused Gachagua of mismanaging funds from Nyeri County alongside his late brother, former Governor Nderitu Gachagua.

“There are legislators who are corrupt… and we want to caution Wamunyoro, he has no moral authority to talk about corruption. First of all, he’s the one who stole from Nyeri County and his late brother. Everything about him is corruption,” he remarked.

Osoro further cautioned individuals and groups engaged in schemes to defraud the SHA, insisting that the law would catch up with them.

“Whether you like it or not, you’ll soon see parliamentary cartels and SHA cartels at the county levels being arrested,” he warned.
