Muturi Explains Why He Won’t Reconcile with Ruto | BossNana International Radio

Former Public Service CS and Attorney General Justin Muturi has dismissed any possibility of reconciling with President William Ruto, insisting that his role is to make sure the Head of State leaves office.

While speaking at the opening ceremony of the National Independent Church of Africa, St. Peter Kaunjira, Muturi said he cannot pursue reconciliation talks with Ruto because the President has failed to address grave human rights violations.

“When I see things going wrong, I have to speak up. I have seen my friend here saying he might find me talking to him. It’s not possible. My job is to make sure he goes home,” Muturi said.

Muturi pointed to abductions and extrajudicial killings as the main reason for their fallout, accusing the President of ignoring the crisis.

“The moment he failed to address the grave issue of abductions and extrajudicial killings, that was the point of departure between us,” he said.

The former Attorney General emphasized that he wants his legacy to reflect a leader who never wavered in defending justice.

“If there’s a thing I want the world and the country to know me for, it is as a leader who stood firmly for justice. When you know you stand for truth and justice for the people, you have nothing to fear,” he added.
